What's New for 2024?
The most important addition to the 2024 Dodge Hornet is the inclusion of two hybrid models in its trim-level lineup. The GT and GT Plus trim levels have standard gasoline-powered engines, while the RT and RT Plus models are plug-in hybrids. When the Hornet debuted in 2023, the latter two trims were missing. The 2023 Hornets eventually got the RT and RT Plus trims, though they came out in early 2024. The 2024 models have all four trim levels. Other than this, there are no significant changes to the Hornet for 2024.
Performance
The GT and GT Plus models are powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that produces 268 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. If you need even more power out on the streets, the RT and RT Plus models make an interesting choice. These plug-in hybrid models use the combined might of a turbocharged 1.3-liter engine and an electric motor. This makes an impressive 288 horsepower with 383 pound-feet of torque. Acceleration is brisk and the handling is phenomenal, thanks in no small part to the standard AWD (all-wheel drive). The hybrid models can also save you quite a bit at the gas pumps around Chatsworth and Thousand Oaks.
Technology
The Dodge Hornet has impressive technology to keep you connected and entertained. There's an AM/FM/HD/Satellite stereo system with six speakers. The Uconnect 5 infotainment system allows you to stream your favorite music through the audio system via Bluetooth. The system also allows you to make hands-free phone calls. The system even offers wireless support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The 2024 Hornet models also get access to Amazon Alexa features.
Safety
