Five Easy Maintenance Tasks You Can DIY for Your Vehicle

1. Change the Wiper Blades
You'll need to replace the wiper blades when they become worn or have visible damage. Several types of wiper blades are available, and they are all easy to install. You can purchase replacement windshield wiper blades directly from our Parts Center.

2. Change Spark Plugs
Spark plugs provide the spark that ignites the fuel to make the engine produce power. While that may seem like a big job, spark plugs are surprisingly simple and easy to replace if you can reach them in your vehicle (more difficult for V6 and V8 engines). We sell replacement spark plugs and other items needed to get the job done.

3. Replace Air Filters
The cabin and engine air filters are usually very easy to find and replace when they look dirty. Check your owner's manual to locate the air filters in your vehicle. They are typically enclosed in a plastic box that doesn't require tools to open. You can purchase replacement air filters from our Parts Center and swap them out as needed.

4. Change the Battery
The battery is easily accessible in all vehicles and can easily be replaced with just a screwdriver. Car batteries typically last about three to five years, and we usually have good ones in stock that will work on your vehicle, so you don't have to wait for a service appointment to address a bad car battery.

5. Fix Minor Scratches
For minor scratches or touchups to the exterior finish, we carry paint pens and other kits to restore your vehicle's factory finish.
